How to Call France From the United States

    Determine what time it is in France. France is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, which means it is 6 hours later in France than it is on the East Coast of the United States, and 9 hours later than it is on the West Coast.

    Dial 011, the international access code.
  3. 3
    Dial 33, the French country code.
  4. 4
    Remove the 0 from the beginning of the 10-digit phone number. (All French telephone numbers begin with 01, 02, 03, 04 or 05.)
  5. 5
    Dial the remaining nine digits.
